November News from Forest Farm

Come build veg beds with us, plus lots of excuses to eat food together…

Come and join us for the next fun-filled Permablitz at Forest Farm Peace Garden, Hainault on Saturday 23rd November.

The “permablitz” is an exciting new initiative that has been taking London by storm this year. A permablitz brings together a team of people for a day of fun and meaningful work at a permaculture project. The permablitz at Forest Farm this weekend has been designed to create accessible raised beds to enable people who can’t bend down, or who need to be seated to be able to participate in the community garden.

Starts at 10am sharp and finishes at 4pm.

Food provided including hot soup and freshly baked bread from the Garden’s cob oven.

To help us plan the day, please RSVP to: info@permablitzlondon.com and let us know your shoe size so that we can provide safety boots for you to wear (all volunteers will need steel toe-cap boots as we will be working with heavy materials)

Winter Solstice celebration

Friday 20th December, 4pm – 7pm

Join Forest Farm staff, volunteers and trustees for a campfire and food to mark the longest night of the year, and to celebrate another marvelous year of food growing.

We’ll stay warm by the fire, and make some tasty food to share as well. We’d love to see you there!
