Information for referrers from primary care and statutory and voluntary mental health services
Our Ecotherapy Programme is based on growing evidence that being active outdoors in nature helps improve mental wellbeing. Our programme has an outstanding track record, with over 75% of our clients consistently reporting improved self-esteem, social connectedness and mental and physical wellbeing from their placement with us.
Our therapeutic gardening sessions are free of charge and aimed at mental health service users and those experiencing related mental health issues.
We are open every Wednesday and Friday from mid-February to mid-December and offer two sessions from 11am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm on both days. There is an option to bring a packed lunch and join us for a relaxed lunch together between sessions. We can offer up to two regular sessions of therapeutic gardening per week to clients referred to us. Please read the 2017 Info Pack for Referrers for more information, and download a Referral Form if you would like to refer a client to our Ecotherapy Programme.
We are now actively recruiting so if you have a client or service user who you think might benefit from our services, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Please contact Fran Reeves at firstname.lastname@example.org or call: 07525 125 057
PLEASE NOTE: Our staff work part-time hours therefore there may be a short delay before you receive a response (allow up to 5 days).
