 FUNDRAISING ASSISTANT (VOLUNTEER ROLE) VACANCY

Role title: Fundraising Assistant (Volunteer Role)

Reporting to: Project Manager

Hours: Between 3 and 4 hours per week. Flexible working hours and work from home are possible for this role.

Main purpose of the role: To identify donor sources and raise funds to assist the organisation’s long-term sustainability.

Role Description:

Fundraising Assistant will support the Project Manager with the implementation and development of our fundraising strategy. If you have an interest in environmental sustainability, wellbeing programmes and supporting people with mental health issues through social and therapeutic horticulture this could be the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Researching potential funding opportunities and charitable trusts and foundations.
  2. Liaising with external funding bodies.
  3. Undertake research in finding alternative sources for long-term sustainability of the organisation such as; crowdfunding, corporate sponsorship and individual giving.
  4. To assist Project Manager with bid-writing and monitoring and evaluation reports preparation.
  5. Liaise with local media and other contacts to promote any fundraising events

Person Specification

  1. Prior experience of fundraising in voluntary or paid role capacity which includes; bid writing,  knowledge of corporate sponshorship, and ideally crowdfunding.
  2. An ability to write successful funding bids
  3. IT literacy (Microsoft Office, internet).
  4. Strong organisation and communication skills.
  5. Good command of spoken and written English
  6. An ability to work sensitively and have a commitment to equal opportunities and confidentiality.

Support training, where specifically required for the role, will be provided.

COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING LEAD (VOLUNTEER ROLE) VACANCY

Role title: Communications & Marketing Lead (Volunteer Role)

Reporting to: Project Manager

Hours: Between 3 and 4 hours per week. Flexible working hours and work from home are possible for this role.

Main purpose of the role:

The main purpose of the role is to coordinate and deliver the Communications and Marketing for the charity. You will be a member of a small team where you can really make a difference and where your skills and enthusiasm will play an important part in the running of the charity.

Responsibilities

This role will involve:

  1. Coordination and delivery of all Communications & Marketing for the charity.
  2. Liaising with / reporting to the Project Manager and Ecotherapy Worker on all communications activity.
  3. Marketing and publicising our events through our website, e-mail newsletter, social media platforms and by e-mail.
  4. Liaising with local media and other contacts to promote any fundraising events.
  5. Maintaining Communications & Marketing records in simple format of Excel Spreadsheet.

Person Specification

  1. Ideally to have some prior experience of communications – preferably with a business or charity.
  2. Have good understanding of social media.
  3. High standard of written and spoken English.
  4. Capable of effectively using IT packages such as Microsoft Office, Mail Chimp and internet.
  5. Availability for approx. half day a week for a period of up to 6 months.

Support Training, where specifically required for the role, will be provided.

FFPG is now recruiting trustees

ROLE DESCRIPTION

Our Trustee Board is responsible for the overall management and health of the organisation.

Board members undertake strategic planning for the organisation, overseeing finances and fundraising; policies and human resources, and are responsible for ensuring that the organisation is meeting its aims.

The Board meets as a group on a bi -monthly basis, with meetings generally in the evenings starting around 6:30 and lasting for 2 hours.

Please note that because FFPG is a charitable company limited by guarantee, Board members have limited liability. That means that our trustees are not individually financially liable for the organisation, provided that they have not been negligent about performing their duties. It is important, though, that the members of the board take all reasonable steps to ensure physical and mental safety of staff and volunteers, that they take reasonable steps to secure the financial health of the organisation, and that they take reasonable steps to prevent harm and ensure that we are compliant with the law.
